Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Cruz. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Cruz.

1. Who can use Cruz

You must be 18 or older. We close accounts that turn out to belong to someone younger.
One person, one account. Give true details, keep your password and PIN to yourself, and tell us if someone else gets in.
You are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. What Cruz is, and is not

Cruz is a place to post, gift and win. It is not a bank and not a way to send or request money between people. Money moves only as gifts, giveaway prizes and treasure-hunt prizes, in your own currency (naira or cedi). Your balance is not a savings account and earns nothing.

3. Gifts, giveaways and treasure hunts

A gift is a gift. Once sent it cannot be taken back, except where the rules below say it is held or returned.
A gift from someone who has never messaged you is held for 24 hours until you reply. If you do not reply, it goes back to the sender.
A giveaway or treasure hunt is run by the person who posted it. The prize and the rules are shown on the post. Winners and hunters are chosen by the app, and the result is final.
A treasure hunt keeps running for the life of its post. A fee is shown before you start one, and the prize you set is shown on the post.
We may cancel a giveaway or hunt that breaks these terms and return what was put in, less anything already paid out.

4. Adding money and cashing out

Top-ups are paid through our payment partners. The amount you are charged is shown before you pay.
You cash out to a bank account in your own name. We check the name on the account against the name on your profile.
New accounts and recent security changes (a new PIN, password, email or phone) may have a short wait before a cash-out. The wait is shown to you.
We may hold or refuse a cash-out we think is fraud, a mistake, or against the law, and we will tell you why where we can.

5. What you post

You own what you post. You give Cruz permission to store it, show it to the people you chose, and make the copies the app needs (for example smaller photos). You promise it is yours to share and that it does not break the rules below.

6. Rules

Do not:

post anything that is illegal, sexual content involving anyone under 18, threats, harassment, hate, or content that exposes someone's private details;
scam, impersonate, or trick people into gifting, or run a giveaway or hunt you do not intend to honour;
use bots, fake accounts, or several accounts to win, farm gifts or avoid a ban;
attack, scrape or try to break the app, or look at other people's data.

You can report a post, message or person from its menu. We may remove content, hold gifts or money, limit features, or close an account that breaks these rules, and report crime to the authorities.

7. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Cruz running and your money safe, but the app is provided as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably foresee, or for what other users post or do. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law of Nigeria or Ghana that cannot be limited by contract.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using Cruz at any time. Cash out your balance first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Parts that by their nature should last (such as 5, 6 and 7) do.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. When a change matters, we tell you in the app before it applies. Using Cruz after that means you accept it. Questions: Help or [email protected].
